Description

This product is a rapid direct binding test kit for procalcitonin （PCT）. Results are available in 10-20 minutes. It is very sensitive and easy for storage.

Intended Use

The One Step Test for PCT (colloidal gold) is intended for use together with the FIA8000 Quantitative Immunoassay Analyzer. It can be used to detect PCT in human serum, plasma specimens in vitro quantitatively.

This test serves as an aid in the assessment and evaluation of sepsis, bacterial infection or inflammation, guiding antibiotics therapy.

Principle

This product is based on the principle of sandwich immunoassay for determination of PCT in human blood specimens. Two monoclonal antibodies are employed to identify PCT specifically, resulting in one or two purplish red streaks appear on the test line. The color intensity of the test lines increase in proportion to the PCT concentration.

Then insert test card into the FIA8000 Quantitative Immunoassay Analyzer, the concentration of PCT is measured quantitatively and displayed on the screen. The result can be transmitted to the lab or hospital information system.
